Artist Statement.

This Statement regards to the following 3 pieces of art work below. All these paintings were done over a 5 year period. As you can see i like to paint with lots of colour and my subject are normally flowers or landscaped themes. I also like to have a reason or person in mind when I'm painting because 1. it gives me inspiration and 2. i often give the painting to that person as a present. e.g the second Painting i was thinking of my nan which is why the colours and feel of the painting is so vibrant, and the 3rd painting (Mum's Sunset) is a birthday present for my Mum.
When i paint, i like the paint to show or express a flowing feel. I also like the paint and colours to blend well with each other as opposed to sharp bold lines and contrast. Most of my paintings are done at home on the kitchen table and my mood is normally a happy, excited, positive and energetic.

For my Art course I have a subject called Develop self as an Artist. The following post's are for Task 3 in this Subject.

Task 3 - Give examples of works in progress
1. New Technical skills
2. New Concepts
3. New Digital Technology
1. New Technical Skills. Here are 3 pictures of my clay head I made in sculpture. I have not put the finished picture on yet, because it needs to be fired. The reason I have used my head as an example is because I have never used clay before and I consider it a New technical Skill

2. New Concepts

Here is a before and after of a pitcture i drew and then coloured in on the computer. This is a new concept for me because i have never used a computer to colour in my drawings.
